Leveraging 8 generations of design, the Emulex LPe1205-HP dual-channel PCI Express 2.0 8Gb/s Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter seamlessly attaches to 2/4/8 Gb/s SAN devices. LPe1205-HP provides superior reliability, exceptional performance, enhanced security, Server Side NPIV and scalable management for virtual server and enterprise-class applications. It combines higher transfer rates, enhanced I/O processing, and extended interrupt management with Emulex Virtual HBA Technology. The dual-channel design is the ideal for mission critical applications that rely on high-availability connectivity. FC-SP security compliance enables protection of your proprietary data from unauthorized access.

Simplified deployment and scalable centralized management enable efficient administration of large enterprise SANs. Emulex firmware and driver architecture provides full driver compatibility with all Emulex HBAs and allows firmware to be upgraded without taking the server off-line or requiring system re-boots.

Performance

  • Superior performance capable of sustaining up to 200,000 I/Os per second per channel.
  • Full duplex data throughput doubles maximum Fibre Channel link rate from 4Gb/s to 8Gb/s with enhanced virtualization capabilities.
  • Frame-level Multiplexing and out-of-order frame reassembly increases link efficiency and maximizes HBA performance.
  • Message Signaled Interrupts (MSI): MSI-X vector interrupt management improves application performance, reduces host CPU utilization and provides greater I/O scalability.

  • Scalable centralized management with HBAnyware simplifies deployment, administration and network diagnostics.
  • In-band and out-of-band discovery with cross-platform support for Windows, Linux, and VMware connected servers.
