Q1. Which servers are supported by the AntemetA Multipathing Software Solution for AIX?
A1. IBM p-series (including p5 server) & RS/6000 family as well as some Bull Escala servers (please refer to Quickspecs for more details).
Q2. Which HP disk arrays are supported by the AntemetA Multipathing Software Solution for AIX?
A2. HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array family with HSV100/110 controller (VCS 3.014 minimum) and HSV200/210 controller (XCS 5.30 minimum).
Q3. Which hardware connections and devices are supported?
A3. HP mandatory SAN connection using two FC fabrics for multipathing. Native IBM HBA are supported (FC5716, 6239 & 6228)
Q4. Is there any restriction about number of HBAs per server?
A4. Maximum of eight HBAs per server or LPAR (Logical partition).
Q5. Is there any restriction about AIX OS?
A5. The AntemetA Multipathing Software Solution for AIX supports both AIX 5.2 or AIX 5.3 operating systems.
Q6. Are earlier versions of AIX supported with this product?
A6. No, this product currently only supports AIX 5.2 or AIX 5.3. Support for AIX4.3.3 and 5.1 can only be obtained via the HP Deal Exception Process.
Q7. Is there any other restriction?
A7. AntemetA Multipathing Software Solution for AIX requires that all HBAs in a server must be of same type. Mixing of different brands of HBAs is not supported.
Q8. What is the licensing policy?
A8. AntemetA Multipathing Software Solution for AIX licensing is on a per server (without LPAR) or LPAR basis. Licenses are available for 1, 5, and 10 host connects.

For example an IBM p630 configured with 4x LPAR, 3 of them using multipathing with HP EVA, will need 3x licenses.

Q9. How to get the latest version of this product if I have already bought a previous version?
A9. AntemetA existing customers should contact their local HP services representative to get the new version of this product.
Q10. Is AIX 5.3 Virtual I/O supported?
A10. Not yet, it should be supported by November/December timeframe.
