| HP StorageWorks XP for Business Continuity Manager Software enhances productivity by centralizing and simplifying management of XP disk array local and remote replication functionality in mainframe environments. Business Continuity Manager manages Hitachi ShadowImage for Mainframe, Hitachi TrueCopy for Mainframe, Hitachi TrueCopy Async for Mainframe, and Hitachi Universal Replicator for Mainframe. By automating configuration and disaster recovery tasks, Business Continuity Manger reduces human error, saves time, and improves data availability. For additional efficiency, Business Continuity Manager provides a scripting capability and group control commands, allowing administrators to manage multiple volumes easily. Through a linkage with HP StorageWorks XP Replication Monitor Software, mainframe replication information can be displayed by HP StorageWorks XP Command View Advanced Edition Software.
Business Continuity Manager, as its name suggests, enhances business continuity. Business critical information can be preserved and made available, even when disaster strikes. Business Continuity Manager supports 2 Data Center and 3 Data Center configurations that create copies of critical data at remote sites, allowing the business to continue operations even if the primary site is shut down. By providing consistency groups that preserve volume update order, Business Continuity Manager maintains consistent and valid copies of important volumes, ready for use at a moment’s notice. To help verify that the organization is prepared for a disaster, Business Continuity Manager supports disaster recovery testing and provides monitoring of critical metrics to enable proactive resolution of emerging issues.
