If you chose to install Command View EVA v7.0 you will be required to enter valid Command View EVA license keys during the installation process. |

Is there a trial period? |

Yes, there is a 180 day (6 month) trial period during which all features will continue to operate. You have 180 days to enter valid Command View EVA license keys. |

What happens at the end of the trial period? |

If at the end of the trial period valid license keys have not been entered, then the following features will be restricted.
- Ability to create new Virtual disks
- Ability to add disks to disk groups

How will I receive my license keys? |

If you are on a valid support contract you will receive your license entitlement certificates by mail. The license keys will cover the entire Command View EVA capacity that you registered support for. |

What happens if my Command View EVA capacity is not under a support contract? |

You have two options to get back on support, so that you can receive your entitlement certificates
- Purchase new Command View EVA licenses
- Purchase HP return to Service

I am currently taking advantage of the OVSOM program. As the OVSOM program has been discontinued as of May 31st 2007, how can I receive License Entitlement certificates? |

If you are on support under the OVSOM program will receive License entitlement certificates by mail for the capacity that has been registered under support. |

What about if I purchased my SMA before Sept 30th 2003? Am I still covered? |

Yes, HP will continue to honor pre September 30th 2003 SMA customers. Please contact your HP representative to receive your License Entitlement Certificates. |

How is Command View EVA licensed? |

- Command View EVA is a capacity based license and is licensed per array.
- Customers must purchase enough Command View LTU(s) to meet, or exceed, the total raw capacity of each EVA.

No, Command View Licenses are not transferable from one array to the other. |

What are the tiers for Command View licenses? |

- Command View is available in the following tiers (1TB, Unlimited TB, Upgrade to unlimited TB).
- Customers can purchase multiple 1TB Licenses.
- Before purchasing the Upgrade to Unlimited License, customer must have at least one 1TB License.

Are EVA model upgrade licenses available for Command View EVA? |

- Yes, model upgrade licenses are available for Command View EVA. (Please see the Quick Spec for details)
- An upgrade is considered when a) a customer upgrades the controllers from one EVA model to another (data-in-place), b) when loop switches are added to an EVA4000/4100
