For the HP XP24000 Disk Array, HP XP Command View Advanced Edition Software licensing is based on the raw storage capacity of the disk array. External storage capacity coverage is included at no extra cost.
For the HP XP20000 Disk Array, HP XP Command View Advanced Edition Software provides a frame-based license. One license covers all disk array capacity.
For the HP XP12000 Disk Array, HP XP Command View Advanced Edition Software licensing is based on the raw storage capacity of the disk array plus the configured usable capacity of any External Storage volumes attached to the disk array. There are special reduced cost HP XP Command View AE licenses to cover external storage capacity.
For the HP XP10000 Disk Array a frame unlimited license is available.

The CLI is used to enable task automation and the SMI-S Provider enables integration into SRM software. The HP XP Command View AE CLI SMI-S License supports XP12000, XP10000, XP1024, XP128, XP512, and XP48 Disk Arrays. The XP24000 and XP20000 Disk Arrays provide the CLI and SMI-S functionality in the HP XP Array Manager Software product.
