- Register your copy of Data Protector Express Single Server Edition and enter the free permanent license key during the installation.
- Purchase HP part number BB117BT – HP Data Protector Express upgrade from Data Protector Express Single Server Edition. This provides a significant discount off the regular buy price of Data Protector Express.
- Register the upgrade to Data Protector Express and enter the new license key into the Data Protector Express GUI.
- You can now use all the functionality of Data Protector Express. The Data Protector Express Bare Metal Disaster Recovery option, included with Data Protector Express Single Server Edition, remains in use. All jobs and settings you created with Data Protector Express Single Server Edition are still in use.
- Add options to extend protection to additional machine and add functionality.
