Q1. How much external capacity can HP XP External Storage Software manage?
A1. HP XP External Storage Software can manage up to 247 Petabytes for the XP24000, up to 96 Petabytes for the XP20000, up to 32 Petabytes for the XP12000, and up to 16 Petabytes for the XP10000.
Q2. Does HP XP External Storage Software for the XP24000 and XP20000 differ in functionality from HP XP External Storage Software for the XP12000 and XP10000?
A2. HP XP External Storage Software for the XP12000 and XP10000 includes LUN Configuration and Security Manager licenses as well as licenses for four cache partitions.

In contrast, HP XP External Storage Software for the XP24000 and XP20000 does not need to include similar licenses. That is because HP XP Array Manager Software for the XP24000 and XP20000 includes the equivalent LUN Configuration and Security Manager and cache partitioning functionality and covers external storage capacity at no extra cost.

A3. HP XP External Storage Software supports a broad variety of disk arrays for HP and other disk array providers. A partial list includes:
