Q1. How much external capacity can HP StorageWorks XP External Storage Software manage?
A1. HP StorageWorks XP External Storage Software can manage up to 247 Petabytes for the XP24000, up to 96 Petabytes for the XP20000, up to 32 Petabytes for the XP12000, and up to 16 Petabytes for the XP10000.
Q2. Does HP StorageWorks XP External Storage Software for the XP24000 and XP20000 differ in functionality from HP StorageWorks XP External Storage Software for the XP12000 and XP10000?
A2. HP StorageWorks XP External Storage Software for the XP12000 and XP10000 includes LUN Configuration and Security Manager licenses as well as licenses for four cache partitions.

In contrast, HP StorageWorks XP External Storage Software for the XP24000 and XP20000 does not need to include similar licenses. That is because HP StorageWorks XP Array Manager Software for the XP24000 and XP20000 includes the equivalent LUN Configuration and Security Manager and cache partitioning functionality and covers external storage capacity at no extra cost.
