SVSP Volume Manager |
HP StorageWorks SVSP Volume Manager delivers the basic virtualization functionality that allows customers to create and manage pools of capacity that span multiple arrays, usually from different vendors. Included with the basic package, is a set of additional value add features: the ability to perform heterogeneous data migration ability to set 2-way local mirrors for increasing application availability where needed the ability to import in place data sets for additional flexibility

SVSP Business Copy |
HP SVSP Business Copy provides a flexible set of centralized copy services that increase operational flexibility, improve application availability, data protection, and decrease business risk.
It provides local (single domain) replication capabilities for local point-in-time (PiT) copies of data using snapshots of data based on changes to virtual disks. SVSP also include snapclones, which might be used by customers who want to carve off a database for testing purposes.
Snapshot and snapclone consistency groups are supported to preserve write-order consistency across multiple virtual disks.

SVSP Continuous Access |
HP SVSP Continuous Access is an asynchronous data replication (remote mirroring) solution to support disaster tolerance requirements. HP SVSP Continuous Access works across multiple arrays (HP and Non-HP) allowing remote mirroring between management domains. The data replication can be bidirectional and multi-site, meaning that a SVSP domain can be both a source and a destination for different data sets and supports up to three copies of the source data.
SVSP CA also include multi-domain snapclones services.

SVSP Thin Provisioning |
HP SVSP Thin Provisioning allows customers to create virtual disks with large apparent capacity that only use a much smaller amount of physical capacity, driving greater asset utilization. As data is written to these Thin Provisioned virtual disks, additional capacity is automatically allocated as necessary to store the new data.
