| Q1. |
What's the most compelling reason to consider the HP StorageWorks Scalable NAS File Serving Software? |
| A1. |
The Scalable NAS File Serving Software is an excellent NAS solution to consider when you need scalable file serving and cannot have any downtime for your business-critical applications at an affordable price and with room to add more capacity or more services. |
 |
| Q2. |
Why is the HP StorageWorks Scalable NAS File Serving Software better than traditional single file servers? |
| A2. |
File server and NAS appliances have a single file server controller performance limit. As demand for files being delivered reaches the performance limit of the file server controller, it takes longer for files to be served. Most file servers and NAS appliances also suffer from a single point of failure. The Scalable NAS File Serving Software enables you to build a multi-headed file server cluster and therefore does not have a single file server controller performance limit or a single point of failure. The Scalable NAS File Serving Software enables file serving protocols, such as CIFS and NFS, to be scaled in a near linear fashion to unprecedented I/O throughput and performance, with integrated fault tolerance. |
