Overview

Is your business facing constant bottlenecks in application performance? Are you frustrated with real-time data access?

The HP IO Accelerator for BladeSystem c-Class is part of a comprehensive solid state storage portfolio. This device is targeted for markets and applications requiring high transaction rates and real-time data access that will benefit from application performance enhancement. It offers the equivalent storage performance of multiple disks. The HP IO Accelerator brings high I/O performance and low latency access to storage, with the reliability of solid state.

What's New

  • 365GB, 785GB and 1.2TB capacity offering in the new 25nm Nand Flash technology providing capability to Gen8 HP ProLiant BladeServers
  • Higher IOPs performance and faster read/write
  • Lower Access Latency
  • Accelerate Database/Data mining performance by replacing storage performance for multiple disk spindles with a single Mezzanine card
  • Drive faster decisions for Business Intelligence/financial transaction
  • Increase number of VMs per server

Features & Benefits

Higher Performance
  • HP IO Accelerator for BladeSystem c-Class provides high read and write performance and accelerated application performance (up to 530K IOPs) for customers with high I/O requirements, that buy large arrays just to get the performance from large number of drives.
  • Customers with applications requiring high transaction rates and real-time data access will benefit significantly from high speed (up to 1.5 GB/s) augmenting existing NAS/SAN HDD based solutions offered by the HP IO Accelerator.
  • HP IO Accelerator offers customers with local data high speed access (~50 microseconds) to enhance productivity.
Low power consumption
  • The HP IO Accelerator, unlike traditional hard drives, uses PCIe Solid State storage. This can shift to very low power modes quickly and return to full performance, without the penalty of delays associated with waiting for a disk to spin back up.
  • Implementing HP IO Accelerator lowers average power consumption and reduces the demands on the data center to cool systems.
  • High Performance NAND storage has different availability characteristics than HDD based solutions, but superior I/O p/s performance, lower power consumption and rack space requirements.
Enhances Business Critical Applications
  • The HP IO Accelerator enables faster performance with rapid response where output must be a few seconds or less.
  • Reduce rendering time with the HP IO Accelerator, achieving real time rendering.
  • Data mining in customer relationship management applications can contribute significantly to the bottom line. Rather than contacting a customer through a call center or sending mail, only prospects that are predicted to have a high likelihood of responding to an offer are contacted.
