| Q1. |
What is the most compelling reason to consider the HP StorageWorks 4400 Scalable NAS File Services? |
| A1. |
The HP 4400 Scalable NAS File Services is an excellent NAS solution to consider when you need scalable file serving and cannot have any downtime for your business-critical applications at an affordable price and with room to add more capacity or more services. |
 |
| Q2. |
Why is the HP 4400 Scalable NAS File Services better than traditional file servers offered by competitors? |
| A2. |
Traditional file server and NAS appliances have a single file server controller performance limit. As demand for files being delivered reaches the performance limit of the file server controller, it takes longer for files to be served. Most file servers and NAS appliances also suffer from a single point of failure. The HP 4400 Scalable NAS File Services includes two file server nodes and therefore does not have a single file server controller performance limit or a single point of failure. The HP 4400 Scalable NAS File Services enables file serving protocols, such as CIFS and NFS, to be scaled in a near linear fashion to unprecedented I/O throughput and performance, with integrated fault tolerance. |
