The HP StorageWorks D2D Backup System creates a new standard in data protection, combining both disk and tape storage in a single, self-managing backup solution. Using its disk-based storage to automate daily backup jobs, the D2D Backup System consolidates the backups of up to six servers onto a single device to provide for easier data protection management while allowing for fast access to online data to recover lost or corrupted files within minutes. For longer-term data protection needs, a HP LTO Ultrium tape drive can be directly connected to or installed within the D2D Backup System allowing the user to easily migrate backup jobs to tape storage to meet offsite disaster recovery and regulatory requirements.
