The DAT 40 SCSI Tape Drive comes in a choice of models -- internal (which also fits in the 1U and 3U rack-mount kit), external, and offline hot-swap array module (which fits into the Tape Array 5300) and hot plug variant -- to suit most environments. Perfect for businesses with remote offices, the integrated web-based management features reduce the dependencies on local IT resources, allowing multiple sites to be supported centrally. The MSL4048 Tape Library offers customers the choice of purchasing a library equipped with one or two HP StorageWorks Ultrium 960 Tape Drives, or up to four HP StorageWorks Ultrium 448 Tape Drives. If only one Ultrium 448 Tape Drive is selected, a second Ultrium 448 Tape Drive can be easily added later if initial backup needs grow. Unlike "Custom Labeled" products that allow users to customize the exact barcode sequence that is printed and attached on each label, HP Non-Custom Labeled Media do not require any customization. This means no custom order forms and no long lead times because the individual label sequences on each barcode label are pre-determined by HP.
With HP Non-Custom Labeled Media, customers in automated tape environments that require labeled media but do not need to define the exact sequence on each label can now get their media virtually overnight. Customers that DO need to define the exact sequence on every label can still do so by continuing to order HP's Custom Label Media products. |
