The HP StorageWorks XP24000/XP20000 Disk Arrays are large enterprise-class storage systems designed for organizations that simply cannot afford any downtime. The XP combines a fully redundant hardware platform with unique data replication capabilities that are integrated with clustering solutions for complete business continuity.

What's new

• The XP24000 and XP20000 disk arrays are now Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) compliant. IPv6 has a much larger address space that allows greater flexibility in assigning addresses.

The HP StorageWorks 4400 Enterprise Virtual Array offers an easily deployed enterprise class virtual storage array for midsized customers at an affordable price. With built in virtualization, it is designed to improve capacity utilization and be easy to manage, which lowers the cost of ownership compared to traditional arrays. It has high performance, scales easily, and is highly reliable and available.

• Better performance and more capacity than the EVA4100, at an affordable price
• More storage services with more robust replication capabilities than MSA

The HP StorageWorks 4400 Enterprise Virtual Array Starter kits are easily ordered, simply deployed array packages affordably priced for the midsized customer. There are two types of kits, Basic and BladeSystem. EVA virtualization improves capacity and reduces management complexities, lowering total cost of ownership compared to traditional arrays.

• The EVA4400 SAN Starter Kit is a complete solution with 8Gb/s embedded switches, 8Gb/s HBAs, SmartStart for EVA Storage and Microsoft Simple SAN certification.

The HP StorageWorks 2000fc Modular Smart Array features a high-performance 4Gb Fibre Channel connected array for efficient consolidation and functionality at affordable prices. It allows departmental and small to medium businesses customers to grow their storage as demands increase up to 21.6 TB SAS or 48 TB SATA, supporting up to 64 hosts for Fibre Channel. With up to 256 LUNs with each LUN up to 16 TB, the MSA2000fc gives maximum configuration flexibility.

The first internal blade NAS/SAN fusion gateway product available, the HP ProLiant SB460c SAN Gateway Storage Server is a flexible ready to deploy NAS/SAN gateway solution for both enterprise and workgroup SAN environments.

The SB460c SAN Gateway is used to access SAN storage, translating file data from the server into blocks for storage. Centralize file serving onto a SAN to control proliferation of NAS devices while preserving your existing NAS storage investments. Also enables hosting of application (block) storage, using less expensive iSCSI to connect to a SAN infrastructure or HP MSA shared storage using iSCSI over the network, to increase efficiency of your existing infrastructure.

HP StorageWorks All-in-One SB600c Storage Blade is a single solution that provides shared storage for HP BladeSystem c-Class application servers (iSCSI), enhanced file serving (NAS) for end-user clients, and software to protect the data on the device. The AiO SB600c Storage Blade is an "in-the-enclosure" storage solution that consists of a HP ProLiant BL460c server and an SB40c Storage Blade.

With three file serving nodes and dual array controllers, the 4400 Scalable NAS File Services does not have a single point of failure. The 4400 Scalable NAS File Services offers great total cost of ownership with a low initial purchase price and “shared data” architecture that yields lower management expenses from a shared pool of file serving nodes and storage.

The HP StorageWorks MSL8096 Tape Library will meet a broad range of demanding data storage needs including unattended backup, archive and disaster recovery for medium to large businesses, workgroups, or remote offices. The MSL8096 Tape Library offers up to 153.6 TB of compressed (2:1) storage capacity in an 8U form factor with your choice of LTO-4 or LTO-3 Ultrium Tape Drives. The library is also available with a wide choice of interfaces including Fibre Channel, SCSI and SAS.

SmartStart for EVA Storage then assists you in the first provisioning of your new storage.

HP StorageWorks Continuous Access EVA Software provides an array based application that uses advanced replication technologies to replicate data over distance between HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Arrays. The HP StorageWorks Continuous Access EVA utilizes the powerfully simple graphical user interface (GUI) provided by Replication Solutions Manager (RSM) Software to create, manage and configure remote replication on the entire HP StorageWorks EVA family of storage arrays.
