Adaptive Networking (AN) is a family of technologies for the DC SAN Backbone Director which allow flexible control of traffic movement within the fabric which deliver application aware management of fabric resources. AN applications may be used with multiple protocols and multiple classes of service.
The DC SAN Backbone Director knows where an application is and what it’s assigned fabric resources are. As an application moves or it’s network resources become degraded the DC SAN Backbone Director can adjust the fabric based on preset polices to ensure the highest level SLAs |

FCIP and FC Tunneling Service for SAN extension over distance: Either seamlessly and reliably extend HP B-Series SANs across MAN and WAN IP networks or dark fiber and xWDM Fire Channel networks with high performance extension services, fully integrated with HP CA solutions for EVA and XP. FC and FCIP extension services are mutually exclusive.
