All three variants are based on the same platform. The SAN Switch 4/32B Power Pack includes the 4/32B SAN Switch (full) with 32 active ports and a full suite of software products. The 4/32B SAN Switch (full) includes a SAN Switch with 32 active ports. The 4/32B SAN Switch (base) includes a SAN Switch with 16 active ports. An optional 8 port upgrade license is available to activate ports. |

What are the differences between the existing HP StorageWorks 4/32 SAN Switch and the new HP StorageWorks 4/32B SAN switch? |

The 4/32B SAN Switch is the successor to the existing 4/32 SAN Switch. Both switches are capable of having 32 active ports. The main difference is the 4/32B offers an improved TCO by consuming 20 percent less power, generating less heat, and requiring less cooling than the 4/32 SAN Switch. |
