Overview

HP P6000 SmartStart Software is a configuration utility that simplifies the installation for the HP P6000 Enterprise Virtual Array Systems family. It also installs both the HP P6000 Command View Software and HP P6000 Command View EVAperf Software. The P6000 SmartStart Software then assist you in the first provisioning of your new storage. Easy to follow instructions with on-screen help to set-up your storage in a few mouse clicks, also helping with the installation of Multi-pathing I/O (MPIO) drivers and the Storage System Scripting Utility (SSSU) in a Windows and Linux environments. The EVA family is known for its array management ease of use. HP P6000 SmartStart Software continues in that tradition, adding simplified set-up for new users of the P6000 EVA family of storage arrays.

• HP P6000 SmartStart Software can assist in installing a management server with HP P6000 Command View Software and tools, and also an application server with HP Storage Software which include HP MPIO, Storage System Scripting Utility (SSSU), and HP VDS provider.
• With the HP P6000 Command View Software and utilities installed, P6000 SmartStart Software will walk you through the initialization process, the licensing process, creating LUNs, provisioning the storage and then presenting it to the server application. Your storage is now fully ready for use.
